An Efficient Soft Decoder of Block Codes Based on Compact Genetic Algorithm

Soft-decision decoding is anNP-hard problem withgreat interest to developers of communication system s. We present an soft-decision decoderof linear block codes based on compact genetic algorithm (cGA) and compare its performance s with various other decoding algorithms including Shakeel algorithm.
