Revolutionizing Genomic Data Management in the Cloud- Novel Approaches for Secure Transfer and Storage of Sequencing VCF Data in the Realm of AI and Cybersecurity - A Perspective
Large volumes of data are generated by next-generation sequencing. Many laboratories now use AI based cloud services, especially when internal information technology infrastructure is insufficient to meet data requirements due to the complexity and data management challenges involved with next-generation sequencing. Public cloud repositories of variants are also being used more often, and their data sets are being fed by crowdsourcing contributions of human genetic variation discovered in labs. This review’s objectives are to outline the difficulties in managing genomic data on the cloud, citing the security vulnerability associated with using AI and to talk about potential solutions to these problems. The advantages and definitions of cloud computing platforms are provided. The presented algorithm and discussion is a work in progress, intended to develop an environment for genetic information sharing on cloud using AI, that includes specific regulatory considerations for laboratories and compliance procedures.
