This article examines the key opportunities and challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in English language teaching. AI tools such as chat bots, automated feedback systems, and adaptive learning platforms offer personalized instruction, increase learner engagement, and support teachers in lesson planning. At the same time, challenges such as limited digital skills, unequal access to technology, data privacy concerns, and the risk of over-reliance on AI remain significant. The article concludes that AI can greatly enhance English teaching, but its effectiveness depends on responsible use and adequate teacher training.
