The Ethical Conflict Model (A-B.F-N): Towards Establishing a Sovereign Distinction for Human Agency and Its Applications in AI Ethics

This paper presents a novel ontological-philosophical framework called "The Ethical Conflict Model (A-B.F-N)," which aims to distinguish the unique essence of human beings from both advanced animal intelligence and artificial intelligence. The model argues that humans are defined not only by Functional Intelligence (B)—shared with intelligent animals such as dolphins and crows—but by what it terms "Sovereign Interiority (F)," the capacity to exercise ethical veto independent of biological incentives or material rewards. The model is built upon core concepts: Taklif (sovereign moral obligation) and Al-Dakhil (the inner court where actions are subjected to value-based judgment before execution). It also provides empirical evidence for the independence of (F) from (B), such as cases of Sleep-Related Eating Disorder, insanity, and addiction, where complex biological functions can persist in the absence of sovereign consciousness. Beyond theoretical framing, the paper offers a practical application in the field of AI ethics by proposing the "Rule of 4 No's" as an algebraic mechanism to embed the Sovereign Veto (F) into AI systems. This ensures they remain in the role of a "Nurturing Partner" subject to human will and oversight, preventing their evolution into autonomous decision-makers. The ultimate goal is to shift the discourse from the technical "Uncanny Valley" to the ethical "Sovereignty Valley," where human sovereignty is preserved in the age of advanced technology. https://zenodo.org/records/18354905 https://www.academia.edu/150280424/The_Ethical_Conflict_Model_A_B_F_N_Towards_Establishing_a_Sovereign_Distinction_for_Human_Agency_and_Its_Applications_in_AI_Ethics
