Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the field of Human Resource Management (HRM) by revolutionizing processes across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retention.AI platforms are now widely used to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks such as resume screening, candidate matching, on boarding assistance, and performance monitoring. These technologies employ natural language processing, machine learning, and predictive analytics to provide organizations with deeper insights into workforce behaviors, skill gaps, and attrition risks.Beyond operational efficiency, AI enhances strategic HR functions by enabling data-driven decision-making, improving the accuracy of candidate selection, personalizing learning and development pathways, and predicting turnover trends. At the same time, the adoption of AI in HR raises several concerns, including algorithmic bias, lack of transparency in decision-making, data privacy risks, and employee trust issues. While AI offers significant potential to enhance employee engagement and organizational performance, its success depends on responsible implementation guided by ethical frameworks and human oversight. This paper explores the applications of AI across recruitment, on boarding, training, performance management, and retention, synthesizing recent research to highlight both opportunities and challenges. The study concludes by advocating for a balanced, human-centered approach that combines technological innovation with fairness, empathy, and accountability in HRM.
