This paper presents a low-cost ARDUINO-based design and implementation of a PWM boost converter that can be employed to achieve maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in photovoltaic (PV) systems. Furthermore, the used PWM is governed using a phase and frequency-correct PWM Mode that is able to run at high frequency and High resolution. We implement and simulate the PWM mode using an Arduino UNO board and an LCD display in the Proteus environment. Simulations show that this PWM mode works better than others at finding the maximum power point (MPP) when the sun's irradiance changes quickly.
