This research explores the transformative potential of blockchain technology in enhancing Human Resource (HR) data management, focusing on its ability to improve security, transparency, and operational efficiency. Traditionally, HR departments have struggled with fragmented data systems, manual verification processes, and significant vulnerabilities regarding sensitive employee information. This study aims to analyze how the decentralized and immutable nature of blockchain can mitigate these challenges. Using a mixed-method research approach, the study incorporates a systematic literature review and primary data collection through stratified sampling of students, HR professionals, and IT specialists. The findings reveal that 95% of IT specialists and 85% of HR managers are aware of blockchain’s potential, with a vast majority (90%) agreeing that blockchain-based credential verification can effectively eliminate fraudulent job applications and streamline background checks. Furthermore, the research identifies that the implementation of smart contracts can automate complex tasks such as payroll disbursement and benefits administration, reducing administrative costs and human error. The study concludes that while blockchain offers a robust solution for tamper-proof record-keeping and data ownership, widespread adoption is currently hindered by high implementation costs, scalability concerns, and the need for standardized legal frameworks. The researcher recommends that organizations invest in hybrid blockchain models and collaborate with technology providers to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to decentralized architectures.
