Abstract: This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on artificial intelligence (AI) in improving EFL learners’ writing skills. Despite the growing use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, there is still a lack of systematic analysis of research trends in this field. Therefore, the study aims to identify publication patterns, key contributors, leading countries, and major research themes. Data were collected from the Scopus database, covering 75 publications from 2023 to 2025, and analyzed using VOSviewer. The findings show that research activity peaked in 2023, remained stable in 2024, and declined in 2025. China emerged as the leading contributor, while institutions in Hong Kong and Taiwan showed strong research productivity. The results also indicate that AI tools are increasingly used to enhance writing quality, feedback processes, and learner autonomy. This study provides insights into current research trends and suggests directions for future studies.
