Influence and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence on Indian News Industry

This paper examines the effects and difficulties that the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has brought about for the Indian news business. It looks at the applications of AI technologies for fact-checking, customization, content production, and real-time news distribution, along with the possible advantages of increased efficacy and cost-effectiveness. The report also identifies other barriers to AI adoption, including data management, infrastructural needs, ethical issues, and possible employment losses. To thoroughly analyze AI's present state and potential future applications in the Indian media scene, the study combines a literature review with primary research incorporating interviews with Indian journalists. The analysis included both possibilities and difficulties. The study highlights the necessity of responsible AI deployment, emphasizing creating robust ethical frameworks, funding infrastructure and training, and encouraging cooperation between media organizations, legislators, and academics. By proactively resolving these obstacles, the Indian news sector may leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to produce accurate, timely, and captivating news stories while keeping to journalistic standards.
