Artificial Intelligence (AI) is swiftly altering governance and business systems, and governmental service systems in the globe. With the growth of AI application, there is a strong necessity to establish legal and regulatory frameworks that are clear, safe, fair, and accountable. This chapter offers a global comparison of the regulation of AI and looks at the way various countries and regions are coping with emerging risks. It also examines the key regulatory paradigms such as the risk based framework of the European Union, sector based regulation of the United States, the state-centric governance framework of China, and the evolving regime of data protection and AI regulation in Germany. The chapter shows both similarities and differences of the legal priorities, enforcement mechanisms, and human rights protections. It also addresses issues of balancing worldwide standards and being innovative. The results highlight the significance of regulatory systems of adaptive and inclusive development of responsible AI.
