Perceived Impact of AI on Occupational Health in Promoting Safety Practices among Health Workers at State Hospital, Ifo Local Government, Ogun State, Nigeria.

This study examined the perceived impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and health-based training systems on occupational health promotion and safety practices at State Hospital, Ifo, Ogun State. Descriptive statistics of frequency counts, percentages, and means were used to analyze the demographic data, while inferential statistics were employed to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that there is a relationship (r=0.671, p<0.05) between AI-based health applications and occupational health promotion, indicating that AI technologies significantly improve safety awareness, preventive measures, and workforce efficiency in healthcare settings. Also, there is a positive (r=0.492, p<0.05) relationship between challenges of AI-based system and effectiveness of occupational health and safety practices. It was therefore recommended that courses for occupational and health education should include instruction in AI literacy, policy makers to invest in digital infrastructure and prioritize capacity building.
