AIOP Item Register

This record publishes the item register for the AI Interaction Outcome Profile (AIOP — After the Machine, Applied Series A6 of the Heartbeat Framework): the complete instrument content across five modules. Twenty-four self-report items, seventeen observer items, a thirteen-item baseline module anchored "before the AI", a four-item collateral supplement for the closest person, and a rapid-triage set of standard direct-enquiry risk questions that route to the red route and are never scored. Two psychometric commitments govern the register. Bipolarity is carried without reverse-keying: each pole is measured by its own behaviours — a displacement item and a supplementation item, never a flipped version of one — or by directional response sets that span the axis. And the person-centred reference line is built into the response options themselves: observer and collateral items rate against "usual for this person", so calibration to the individual happens at the point of rating, not only at scoring. Burden budgets are stated and held: self-report within ten minutes, observer within five, baseline within fifteen at intake once, collateral within five. Scoring produces a six-axis domain profile (no composite), a per-domain self–observer divergence index (the second reading), and trajectory read against the person's own baseline — flags fire on velocity toward a harm pole, never on position against a population norm. Any positive triage response pauses administration and takes the red route to the setting's crisis and safeguarding pathway, same day.
