Technological Ethos and Safety Innovations

This chapter examines the ethical integration of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and automation, into contemporary safety practices. As technological innovation accelerates, its prevailing ethos of speed, optimization, and disruption increasingly intersects with, and at times conflicts with, the foundational principles of safety, which prioritize the prevention of harm and the protection of human well-being.
