Logical Scenarios and Coverage Analyses Enhanced by a Representative Trajectory Model to Reduce Test Cases to Limited Combinations
The development of automated driving systems highlighted recently, while the infrastructure for providing them commercially is still under discussion especially on the assurance of the safely level verifications and the standardization scheme. In international cooperative activities on the issue, it is important to describe situations on the road in the form of an objective identification of scenarios for testing drive accidents and three description levels have been discussed three description levels such as i) functional scenarios, ii) logical scenarios and iii) concrete scenarios. In the present study, we proposed the set of the representative trajectory description and the mesoscopic model to detect representative cases to face the car-collision, which effectively reduce the number of scenarios applicable for the logical reasoning with limited numbers of parameters.
