Detection of Malware using Artificial Neural Networks

Artificial Neural Network techniques have found numerous applications in our world today, one of such is in malware detection. Classification is one of the most popular approach used in neural network. In this paper we present an artificial neural network classification approach to detecting a file hash as malware. A static approach is presented and used in this analysis. Performance analysis of obtained model is measured against other popular techniques. Evaluation results shows comparable accuracy and computation time.
