Particle swarm optimization‐based information‐centric networking intra‐domain routing strategy

The current Information‐Centric Networking (ICN) routing proposals are subject to the scalability, which prompts the generation of domain partition. Inspired by domain partition, this paper proposes a concrete solution, that is, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)‐based intra‐domain routing strategy, including four operations, that is, population initialization, local optimal solution computation, global optimal solution computation and convergence judgment. The proposal strategy is simulated by considering delay and load as two evaluation metrics, and the experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency.

Abstract

The current Information‐Centric Networking (ICN) routing proposals are subject to the scalability, which prompts the generation of domain partition. Inspired by domain partition, this paper proposes a concrete solution, that is, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)‐based intra‐domain routing strategy, including four operations, that is, population initialization, local optimal solution computation, global optimal solution computation and convergence judgment. The proposal strategy is simulated by considering delay and load as two evaluation metrics, and the experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency.
