THE FUTURE OF AI-ENHANCED LEGAL EDUCATION

This article examines the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on legal education, highlighting both the opportunities it creates and the challenges it poses. AI tools—ranging from generative models and intelligent tutoring systems to predictive analytics and virtual simulations— are reshaping traditional pedagogical approaches such as the Socratic method and case-based analysis. These technologies offer personalized learning pathways, enhance legal research efficiency, and provide experiential learning through platforms such as virtual moot courts and AIdriven client simulations. At the same time, the integration of AI raises significant ethical, legal, and pedagogical concerns. Key challenges include data privacy violations, algorithmic bias, overreliance on machinegenerated reasoning, and the erosion of students' critical thinking skills. Moreover, the unequal access to AI-enhanced educational tools risks widening the digital divide, particularly among underrepresented and first-generation students. Faculty resistance and institutional unpreparedness further complicate this technological transition. To address these concerns, the article proposes a set of policy and institutional reforms: transparent AI governance frameworks, interdisciplinary faculty training, algorithmic audits, and student rights protections rooted in ethical and legal accountability. Drawing on interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks—including legal pedagogy, AI literacy, and socio-technical critique—the study advocates for a rights-based approach to AI integration. The ultimate vision is one of human– AI synergy in legal academia, where AI serves not as a replacement but as a normative tool to strengthen justice, inclusion, and doctrinal integrity.
