The entertainment system engine provides an entertainment game that includes random events. When a random event occurs in the entertainment game, the game world engine resolves the random event using random outcomes from the real world engine and provides the results of the random event to the entertainment software engine. The random outcomes are also used to resolve a gambling event corresponding to the random event.
