A patient can determine how he or she would like to fill such prescriptions. A patient can search for and select a pharmacy to electronically send a prescription to, or alternatively can choose to receive a scannable copy of the prescription at his or her mobile device for presentation at a pharmacy location. In the latter event, a patient can utilize his or her electronic device to display a scannable code which a pharmacy can scan to access prescription information.
