The processing range determination unit determines, when a distance between a start point position that indicates a start point of positions indicated by the specified position information, and a position indicated by the latest specified position information is a threshold or less, a closed area obtained based on a history of the received specified position information as a processing range. The contour extraction unit extracts a contour of an object in the processing range.
