Research Status and Prospects of “Artificial Intelligence in Education” in China: Visualization Analysis Based on CiteSpace
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, its integration with the field of education has become increasingly close, making it a hot topic in educational research. Using the CiteSpace, a visual analysis tool, this paper systematically studies and analyzes 1,984 core articles on “AI in Education” in CNKI, with the practice spanning 2016-2024, aiming to provide a comprehensive review of the current research status in this field. The study found that China has achieved abundant results in the application of artificial intelligence in education, the development of intelligent education systems, and the mining of big data in education, etc., but there are also some problems, such as the relative weakness of theoretical research, and the lack of in-depth mutual cooperation between multiple subjects and multiple disciplines. On the basis of summarizing the current situation, this paper presents prospects for future research directions of “Al in Education", including deepening the construction of Al education theory, strengthening multidisciplinary cross-research, and promoting the application of Al technology in educational equity and personalized learning, with a view to providing references and reference for researchers in this field.
