The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Transforming Recruitment and Talent Management Practices

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in Human Resource Management, particularly in the areas of recruitment and talent management. Traditional HR practices were often time-consuming, subjective, and inefficient, relying heavily on manual processes and human judgment. The integration of AI technologies—such as resume screening systems, chatbots, predictive analytics, video interview analysis, and performance management tools—has significantly improved efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decision-making in HR functions. This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence in modern recruitment and talent management practices by reviewing existing literature and analyzing secondary data from research journals, industry reports, and organizational studies. The findings indicate that AI enhances hiring speed, reduces bias, improves candidate experience, supports workforce planning, and enables personalized learning and development. However, the study also highlights key challenges including algorithmic bias, lack of transparency, data privacy concerns, and the need for upskilling HR professionals. The paper concludes that AI should be viewed as a strategic enabler rather than a replacement for human judgment, emphasizing a hybrid HR model where AI and human intelligence work collaboratively to create fair, efficient, and sustainable HR ecosystems.
