Role of Innovative Approaches in Language Teaching for Higher Secondary Classes at Saraswati Junior College, Paras, Tehsil Balapur District Akola: My Experiences
The present research paper is an account of various innovative projects successfully carried out for higher secondary students. These six projects covered the big canvas of routine classroom teaching over thirty plus years. These innovative activities are basically related with learning of English language for communication. Another aspect is the real-life experiences, hands on activities and participation of students. These classroom activities are complemented by tours on bicycle, numismatic, notaphily, philately and phillumeny collections, feathers and various natural objects. The vital and ever-changing role of technology contributed in grand success of these ventures, particularly after the Covid pandemic. Community support, foreign scholarships, awards, research papers presented at various International/ National conferences, seminars, workshops and the media coverage spread the word. The NEP 2020 document focus on new ways of learning and these projects could serve the purpose. At the same time points out the excessive and unmindful use of modern technology. The message is clear; innovative projects backed up with hands on activities and ground level efforts can sustain in long run.
