LOCUS Architecture is a cognitive architecture for governed exocortical delegation. It distinguishes delegable computational capacity — Potentia — from non-delegable executive authority — Potestas — and defines the LIMES as the threshold at which determined execution ceases to be sufficient and executive authority must return to the Human Executive Locus. Derived from structural invariants of biological cognition, LOCUS specifies how artificial systems may execute without becoming the origin of their own authority. Its mechanisms include proportional executive visibility through AIsight, automatic Return at LIMES, revocable Cognitive Contracts, Hormetic Friction, Trace, and Audit. This public overview presents the biological premise, constitutional axis, principal mechanisms, and current structure of the LOCUS Corpus. It functions as a concise public entry point to LOCUS CORE, Satellites A–C, the LOCUS Audit Framework, Reference Implementations, Operational Failures, Technical Substrate, and the Forensic Annex.
