This chapter examines AI and technical innovation in story producing from a principles-based perspective, focusing on how AI tools can accelerate mechanical workflows without replacing human creative judgment. Drawing on the production of Beyond Escape as a case study, the author details practical applications of AI at each stage of the story producing process: transcription and pattern detection, script review for duplicate content, atmospheric b-roll generation, and visual compositing. Distribution strategist Rosa Camero provides an industry perspective on the distinction between AI for creative generation and AI for administrative and marketing workflows, including her development of Ramiro AI and the use of competitive analysis tools. The chapter closes with legal and ethical principles for protecting intellectual property when using AI tools, including the importance of reading terms and conditions and understanding ownership of AI-generated content.
