非エンジニアがAI支援で開発・提供する際に必要な、技術・論理・倫理・事業設計を横断した包括的なリテラシー ─ 占星術ソフトウェア開発の実例分析から ─ / A Cross-Disciplinary Literacy for Non-Engineers Developing Software with AI Assistance: Technical, Logical, Ethical, and Business-Design Dimensions — Insights from a Case Study in Astrological Software —
English AI-assisted coding — commonly known as "AI vibe coding" — has created an environment in which even non-engineers can readily produce software that appears to work. However, a substantial gap exists between "working" and "being safely operable," a gap that cannot be discerned from the surface appearance of code alone. This gap extends beyond technical dimensions (architecture, operations, information management, communication) to encompass logical judgment concerning the nature of the subject domain (the conflation of interpretive pluralism with computational correctness), structural incentives in business design, and ethical responsibilities as a professional practice. This paper uses a single case analysis of an observed commercial web application (an astrological calculation service) to extract the concrete literacy items that constitute this gap, organizing them across seven layers spanning technical, logical, ethical, and business-design dimensions: the architecture layer, operations layer, information-management layer, communication layer, attitude/awareness layer, conceptual layer, and structural/business layer. In particular, the paper demonstrates — through a three-stage reductio ad absurdum spanning an arithmetic level to an abstracted-proposition level — how an argument that conflates a domain where interpretive pluralism legitimately applies (rule-selection pluralism, which this paper terms "correctness" [正解]) with a domain where a verifiable physical quantity must converge to a unique value (which this paper terms "accuracy" [正確]) becomes progressively harder to recognize as erroneous as the level of abstraction increases. The paper further argues that the distinction between the mere existence of technical mitigations (secure-if-informed) and a design that returns safe results regardless of the user's knowledge level (secure-by-default) may be linked to structural incentives embedded in the business model. Astrology serves in this paper solely as a single case-study domain; the paper's claims themselves are not confined to any specific field. Finally, the paper proposes a minimal, comprehensive literacy checklist (Appendix 1) that non-engineers should acquire before developing and offering a commercial service with AI assistance, together with an account of the extent to which — and the limits within which — a codified development convention document can substitute for such prior learning (Appendix 2, §5.4).
