Conclusions

The theoretical considerations presented in the monograph lead to the conclusion that artificial intelligence (AI) maturity in firms cannot be understood as a simple byproduct of technology implementation or as a linear sequence of stages culminating in a state of “full adoption”. A review of the literature in management, organization theory, digital transformation, and AI studies indicates that AI maturity should be conceptualized primarily as a complex organizational capability shaped by the interaction of strategic, technological, cultural, and institutional factors. From this standpoint, AI is no longer treated solely as an analytical tool or a technological infrastructure. Instead, it becomes part of a broader organizational system in which decisions, processes, competencies, and values create a coherent context for its use.
