The Impact of Digital Transformation on Conventional HR Practices

Abstract The rapid evolution of digital technologies has significantly transformed Human Resource Management (HRM), encouraging organizations to move from conventional practices to more technology-driven approaches. This study, titled “The Impact of Digital Transformation on Conventional HR Practices,” focuses on understanding how digitalization influences key HR functions and shapes employee perception. It highlights the growing importance of digital tools in enhancing organizational effectiveness and adapting to the modern business environment. The research is based on primary data collected from 113 respondents in Vadodara through a structured questionnaire. It examines various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and employee engagement in the context of digital transformation. The study evaluates how the integration of digital HR systems impacts operational efficiency, decision-making processes, and overall employee experience within organizations. The findings indicate that digital HR practices streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve accuracy and transparency. Employees generally show a positive perception towards digital systems, as they enhance accessibility, communication, and engagement. The study concludes that adopting digital transformation is essential for organizations to remain competitive, as it not only improves HR efficiency but also contributes to overall organizational performance and long-term growth.
