STRUCTURAL CHANGES AS A CATALYST FOR KEY EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT: MECHANISMS, EFFECTS, AND MANAGEMENT TOOLS

In the context of digitalization and constant organizational transformation, structural change is becoming a key factor in company development. Their impact on key employees—holders of critical competencies—is particularly significant. The purpose of this study is to identify the mechanisms by which structural change transforms into a factor in employee professional development. This study utilizes theoretical analysis and a practical analysis of organizational transformation practices. A model for transforming the role of key employees through the redistribution of functions, changes in competencies, and behavioral patterns is proposed. Factors enhancing the positive impact of change are identified: management support, transparency, resources, and engagement. A comprehensive development index (KEDI) is developed. The practical significance lies in the potential use of the proposed tools to improve the effectiveness of HR management and organizational sustainability.
